• Standard Neck Grommets are ideal for thin materials such as poster paper, lightweight banner vinyl, and fabric covers.
• Long Neck Self-Piercing Grommets are specifically designed for thicker substrates such as foam core boards, corrugated plastic (Coroplast), and composite signage panels. They offer a deeper barrel length to secure the washer through bulkier materials up to 8mm thickness without compromise.
• Extra Long Neck Self-Piercing Grommets accommodate even thicker materials like rigid plastics, wood panels, and heavy composite boards, providing an extended barrel length for a secure hold on substrates up to 10mm thick.

-If your signage design includes a combination of thin and thick materials, we recommend keeping standard, long neck, and extra-long neck self-piercing brass grommets on hand to ensure optimal performance across all sections. The standard (6mm) barrel length accommodates materials up to 5mm thick, the long-neck (9mm) barrel length fits materials between 6mm and 8mm thick, and the extra-long neck (12mm) barrel length works for materials up to 10mm thick.

NOTE: It’s important to note that using long neck grommets on thin material (e.g., banners) may lead to a loose fit, causing the grommet to rotate or detach over time. Selecting the correct grommet and washer combination based on material thickness is essential to achieve a clean, long-lasting, and secure finish.
