Heavy-duty rolled rim grommet installation dies in carbon steel are built for the MICRON® America MC-20 Single Cylinder machine. These dies are designed to set rolled rim grommets with spur washers on multi-layer materials such as webbing, straps, canvas, and technical textiles. As a result, operators achieve faster, cleaner, and more reliable fastening compared to traditional die systems.

Older methods required frequent die swaps or multiple machines. However, this advanced two-step design allows both cutting and setting in sequence. Therefore, downtime is reduced, workflow is simplified, and productivity increases.

How It Works

1. Place the spur washer on the lower die.

2. Position the material (webbing, canvas, textile) on top.

3. The first strike cuts a clean hole.

4. Insert the rolled rim grommet.

5. The second strike secures the grommet and washer tightly.

This two-step method ensures the fabric remains fixed in place. Thus, it prevents shifting, improves strength, and delivers consistent fastening.
