Heavy-duty sheet metal grommet installation dies in carbon steel are built for the MICRON® America MC-20 Double Cylinder machine. These dies are specially designed to set sheet metal grommets with either plain washers or teeth washers, making them suitable for heavy-duty and multi-layer applications. As a result, operators achieve faster, more reliable, and consistent fastening compared to traditional die systems.

Unlike older systems that required frequent die swaps or multiple machines, this advanced two-step design handles both cutting and setting in sequence. Therefore, production time decreases, and accuracy improves significantly.

How It Works

1. Place the washer (plain or teeth) on the lower die.

2. Position the fabric or webbing on top.

3. The machine performs the first strike, creating a clean hole.

4. Insert the sheet metal grommet.

5. The second strike secures the grommet and washer together.

This two-step process keeps the material fixed in place. Thus, it prevents shifting, improves strength, and ensures repeatable results.
