MICRON® America designs the 3/8″ self piercing grommet setting dies – D-SPGD #2 for professionals who demand speed, precision, and durability. Each 2 pcs set (upper and lower dies) is made from stainless steel, giving long service life and rust resistance. These dies cut and set self-piercing grommets in one step, helping operators finish jobs faster and with greater accuracy.
Spring-Action Design
The spring-action mechanism grips each grommet firmly during setup. This prevents slipping, ensures exact placement, and helps reduce material waste. In addition, the spring grip improves operator speed and lowers error rates. As a result, businesses save both time and money while maintaining consistent quality.
Machine Compatibility
Each die set includes a threaded 1/4″ UNC top shaft for easy mounting. These dies are fully compatible with MICRON® machines, including TEP-1, TEP-3, M-3, DEP-2, PL-10, MC-20 (Single & Double Cylinder), and MS-1. Moreover, they can adapt to other major grommet presses, giving shops flexibility across different setups.
A key advantage is their ability to work with SPGW #2 regular, long neck, and extra long neck grommets. Customers can use a single die set for multiple grommet types, reducing the need for separate tools.
