TEP-1 Hand Press Machine – Rivets, Snaps, Grommets & Jean Buttons

The TEP-1 hand press is an entry-level, compact, and dependable manual press. Therefore, it is ideal for users who need a simple tool without a wide range of fasteners. As a result, small workshops and new businesses get clean, repeatable sets at a very low cost.

Tooling & limits. The TEP-1 hand press uses interchangeable dies. However, it accepts only 1/4″-20 UNC threaded top dies; there is no top-die adapter. Additionally, the lower die base is available in two smooth sizes: Ø18.95 mm (≈3/4″) and Ø11.95 mm (≈15/32″). Note: the machine is not compatible with hole-piercing dies or extra-long-neck grommets.

Operation & portability. The press weighs ~10 lb (under 5 kg), so it is easy to carry to the work area. It can be used free-standing or bench-mounted; moreover, the base includes screw holes for secure mounting. Consequently, alignment stays true and set quality improves during runs.

What it sets. The TEP-1 hand press installs jean buttons, jean rivets, snaps, and standard grommets (good for small sizes such as #3 / 7/16″ ID, self-piercing). Furthermore, it handles basic banner, textile, and alteration tasks with consistent results.

Build & service. The body is heavy-duty sephero cast iron for strength and durability. In addition, replacement parts and service are readily available, so the machine stays productive for years.
