Our I-SMGTW #12 (1-1/2” / 38 mm) iron steel grommets with nup teeth washers provide a secure and affordable solution for large fabrics and heavy-duty projects. They deliver strong fastening while offering a less price option compared to brass or stainless steel. Unlike self-piercing grommets, you must punch a hole first before installation. As a result, the finish looks cleaner and the grip lasts longer.

Installation & Machine Compatibility
Prepare the fabric with a hole-punch tool, then install the grommets. For small projects, use a hand tool. In addition, the M-3 machine is perfect for consistent production. Moreover, the MH-5 machine provides one-shot installation that saves time. For example, large factories often use the MC-20 double cylinder machine for maximum speed and accuracy.
Material Note
Iron steel is strong and economical. However, it is not fully corrosion-proof. Therefore, when exposed to moisture or rain, rust may appear. For this reason, we recommend iron steel grommets for indoor projects or short-term outdoor use. If you need long-term durability or marine-grade performance, choose brass or stainless steel grommets from MICRON® America.
